THE FUTILITY OF REVOLUTION
Part Three
Four years after the devastating repercussions of Elida’s family crusade, Carmen is torn between loyalty, motherhood, and a growing sense of moral urgency that her family is complicit in a fascist regime. As apparitions of indigenous healers, Spanish conquistadors, and Mexican soldaderas guide her through rituals of remembrance, Carmen questions whether liberation is possible without sacrifice. Through a mystical journey haunted by history and burning with prophecy, she embarks on a path that could require her to leave everything behind.
Across borders and allegiances this three part fantasia takes you on a harrowing and disturbing adventure that examines life for Latinx people caught between embracing their roots and conforming to the mob mentality of a Trump-era USA.
